Erika Pellegrini is a structural biologist at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Grenoble, France. Her research focuses on the structural mechanisms of inflammatory signaling, particularly the interaction between kinase RIPK2 and the E3-ligase adapter XIAP — a promising drug target for inflammatory bowel diseases. Using advanced cryo-EM and crystallography, her work provides key insights into kinase regulation and therapeutic inhibitor design, bridging structural biology and pharmacology.
