Biography :
Stephen B. Hanauer, MD, is the Clifford Joseph Barborka Professor of Medicine and Medical Director of the Digestive Health Center at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He received his MD from the University of Illinois Chicago and completed internal medicine and gastroenterology training at the University of Chicago. An internationally recognized expert in inflammatory bowel disease, he has authored more than 500 peer-reviewed publications and continues to contribute to IBD research, education, and professional leadership through the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), Advances in IBD (AIBD), and international IBD organizations
