Prof. Yee Kwang Chien

Biography :
Associate Professor Kwang Chien Yee is a mucosal endoscopist, based in Tasmania, Australia. His clinical practice and research focus on detected of mucosal abnormalities and resection of mucosal lesions. In 2017, he established Tasmania’s first endoscopic full-thickness resection service. He has continued to drive innovation in the field, and in 2022 led the launch of the OLYMPUS 1200 series ultra-magnification endoscopy platform in Australia and New Zealand. He currently serves as Chair of Endoscopy at that hospital. Associate Professor Yee holds an academic appointment with the Tasmanian School of Medicine University of Tasmania. He teaches and conducts research in mucosal endoscopy, in healthcare quality and safety, focusing on artificial intelligence in healthcare.
